The Ambleside Dundarave Business Improvements Association in West Van, put up quite a show at the village in the late afternoon closing the Marine drive at 25 street for a treat to the kids and neighbourhood with a live band playing on stage, showcasing the return of the Hoedown on Friday from 4 to 9 pm. The live music was fun with people dancing in the middle of the street and activities for the kids including pony rides. I missed the petting zoo which was supposed to be around and the food and beverages were on sale throughout the block, with merchants getting a shot in the arm racking up sales. The side walk was really busy with the restaurants and pub in full force serving food and drinks but making it somewhat hard to walk through to get to the other side.
