Choosing Resilience : Work place Belonging and Diversity

Roundhouse Community Centre was the venue on 20 Oct, 2022 this year for the bdc ( Business Development Bank of Canada ) full day event Build, Grow, Thrive of engaging discussions by inspiring speakers and networking as part of Small Business BC.

The event kicked of after the opening remarks by Tom Conway, CEO at Small Bus BC and Jean-Philippe Menard of BDC, followed by a loaded topic of Inflation, Labour shortages and Supply challenges by Nick Fry and Matthew Gillis. This was followed by SBBC’s Yvonne Bayer-Cheung talking about Resilent Business planning.

This was followed by an interesting panel discussion on Strategies for successful small business recruitment moderated by Karley Cunningham engaging with three panelists from different works of consulting and business. The rest of the afternoon was devoted to Market research and marketing trends presented by SBBC ‘s Analyst Mark Eversfield, who concentrated mostly on Google trends and tools and Ami Sanyal, CEO at the Uncommmoners Club talking about digital marketing that works without coming off as inauthentic.
